China Town in South Salt Lake

The Rocky Point Haunted House's days are numbered.  With any luck, its replacement's days aren't.

Yue So and Wai Chan, who have already built Chinese shopping centers in Orlando and Philadelphia, are going to build one at 3390 S. State, with Metro Commercial Finance funding the project.  Construction begins in June, with completion scheduled by the end of the year.  The new China Town is to include a Chinese grocery, several shops, and some upscale restaurants.

Hope it's not too upscale.  One of the things that has made Uwajimaya in Seattle's International District such a magnet for the whole community is that regular people can afford to shop there.
